Walking straight on we reach the building of Petőfi Theatre. Petőfi Theatre, the building after which the Theatre Garden was named, awaits its increasing public with various prosaic and musical productions all the year round. The building of the theatre – similarly to Dezső Laczkó Museum – was designed by István Medgyaszay, who applied the most modern technology of the period, the iron concrete structure. The front of the Sezession (Central European Art Nouveau) style building is decorated with the picture depicting the story of the deer-chasing Hunor and Magor by the outstanding painter of the Gödöllő colony of artists, Sándor Nagy. He also designed the oval glass windows and the bronze statue of Petőfi at the entrance was created by László Marton.
