I write you this letter, after I finished reading a few minutes ago, the Arabic translation of your very touching book: Letter to General Franco.
It is amazing and sad in the same time, how what you wrote many years ago, still applies to my beloved country; Sudan.
Our General is governing Sudan since 1989. However, everyday passes, we become more and more sure that it is but the countdown for his doomed fall.
Thank you a million for writing this powerful and eloquent letter that speaks to millions across the Globe.

Es sorprendente y triste ver cómo lo que usted escribió hace mucho se aplica aún a mi querido país: Sudán. Nuestro general gobierna Sudán desde 1989. Sin embargo estamos cada día más seguros los que anunciamos fatalmente su caída. Un millón de gracias por esta poderosa y elocuente carta que habla a millones a través del Globo.
